Truth and Lies: Our Story vs his story

History is the version of past events that people have decided to agree upon.
Napoleon Bonaparte

History will be kind to me for I intend to write it.
Winston Churchill

A love for tradition has never weakened a nation, indeed it has strengthened nations in their hour of peril.
Sir Winston Churchill

A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.
Marcus Garvey

History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce.
Karl Marx

History is written by the victors.
Winston Churchill

Those who don’t know history are destined to repeat it.
Edmund Burke

“For tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.”

“Don’t set sail on someone else’s star.”

“He who is being carried does not realize how far the town is.”

Three African proverbs

George Orwell once stated that “Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past”.   For those of you living in a comatose stat for the past 100 years, George Orwell’s book 1984, was a tale/warning of a time where people’s thought and everyday actions are to be controlled by the government, termed big brother.  It  is interesting when read numerous quotes on history, one would find that the most negative statements often comes from the Caucasian men and women’s narrative. Does that mean that there is no relevance from the narrative of the past?  Or is it that these Caucasians have a particular view point on his story based on an intimate knowledge of how his story is applied.

Here is a web page of a series of quotes on history to amuse you. As  sentient beings (still evolving, or growing) we must be very aware of the African quote, “Until Lions write their own history, the tale of the hunt will always glorify the hunter”

This is why this page is called blackmystory, because this lion intends to do his part to write our story…not re-write, fortunately, because our story is out there for those who have a discerning ability and the drive and interest to look for it. But this is the problem, how many of us have the interest and drive to correct past wrongs. Note I said correct. Not just study, research and acquire the knowledge then go back to watching Sunday football or basketball wives. To correct something is to set right what had been deviated from its course. If increased knowledge brings increased sorrow has stated, then the question then becomes, why does increased knowledge increase sorrow? unless the realization that the shit you thought you knew was wrong and you were taught  trained and conditioned to believe that certain narrative or HIS STORY is  a series of lies agreed upon? Agreed upon by whom? The victors of course.  The videos I posted in my last post, delved into the lack of imagery of African people in North East Africa, separated by the Suez Canal and renamed the Middle east.  Apparently there was/is a slew of Caucasian European and Caucasian Arab trolls coming on youtube to call the African our story and our story of Kimit a lie. I am talking about illiterate, ignorant trolls, who themselves are carrying their own backpack of “white privilege” , that they refuse to unpack.

For instance how many of you knew that the original inhabitants of the area now called Italy, was peopled by a group called Etruscans. Ever wonder why the people in Southern Italy get flack for their darker skin? Did you know that the Constra Nostra was initiated as a defence brotherhood in Sicily against the oppression of the North, but was since taken over by the North because of the lucrative nature of the ventures that co opted the original intent? In grade 11…eons ago, I was fortunate to have had course on the history of the Roman empire and was fascinated by the tales of these mysterious people, the implied relations to the Carthaginians  and the  Phoenicians

  1. I used to wonder why Jews taught their children about the Holocaust from birth, took them to museums and made them watch Hitler films. Then I wondered why blacks were never taught about slavery in the same fashion.

It wasn’t til my later years that I began to dig about my people, slave auctions, 3/5ths human, rape farms, etc…that I fell into a deep depression. When I recovered, I was determined to have whiteness destroyed.

I surmise that they never wanted us to know our history because it may propagate a slave uprising.

    1. Greetings sister…it makes sense. Their elevation is predicated on our subjugation. If we were to rise up from the slavery mentality, then their house of cards crumble and tumble. They will fight to the end to preserve this illusion, because it is all they have. They have no belief in the essence of the all and our connection to it. They fear death as a curse, so they force the curse of death on us, creating fear in us and thus docility. In the past up till now, I have studied our story, I have engaged in our story commercially, I have taught our story and one thing I take from that is that us waking up is more traumatic to them than we over stand.

Unfortunately, us waking up also forces us to act mature and act right. This is a tall order for people who are used to be treated as less than. But our children need us more than the symbols we adore, or any fear we may have about people not liking us. They already don’t like us for doing shit…so might as well not be liked for doing something substantive. You are doing that, and people like Kushite Prince and some nay others are doing that. It’s a new day and new times my sister.

      Thanks for dropping by
