Divine Love

I woke on the morning of December 21st with a smile on my face and a bounce in my step  and felt just like Ice Cube “...It was a good day…” Why? Because the dice throwers and chicken guts readers, so-called scientific interpreters of all things ancient. These charlatans had predicted that the world was coming to an end, sort of like Y2K, only to fall flat on their faces again and again.

It wasn’t that the Mayans were wrong it was because we continuously put our faith in people’s and entities outside of ourselves and even when we get kicked in the collective nuts each time, we keep getting back up and doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result.  Death is a part of life. It is two sides of a coin, never to be feared but to be overstood. The ritual and symbolic killing of the former self in order to be reborn in spirit and mind is how the ancestors explains our continual transition on this plain. So the world continues on into 2013, And here I am asking some questions and perhaps letting y’all know that love is in need of itself, we will keep doing the same thing over and over again.

Let’s ring in the new Greco-Roman year with some thought-provoking and conscious music and practice Sankofa…knowing that it isn’t taboo to reach back and get wisdom from the past in order to move forward into the future.
