Globalization and religion of scarcity

A while a go, a petition was started to save millions of cubic meters of sea floor from being dredged up, across the Great Barrier Reef, to make way for massive new coal seam gas export facilities. The Great Barrier Reef is considered a World Heritage Area. It would be the largest dredging project ever undertaken in Australia, and one that has the United Nations’ Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) so alarmed they’re warning the Reef could lose its iconic world heritage status.

During their investigative trip to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, UNESCO representatives had met with a range of stakeholders: scientists, environment groups, state government, fishing and tourism industry representatives, local councils and mining companies. It was a comprehensive list, all with an interest in the Reef, except for one missing group  — the Australian community. The people who would suffer most from this ecological disaster. The Great Barrier Reef doesn’t just matter to mining companies, governments or tourism agencies.

Considering there is currently an Island of plastic as large or larger than Australia is floating on the pacific ocean. Considering that whales are being beached with mounds of plastic in their stomachs and numerous marine lives are going extinct, says a lot about the environmental impact of these psychopathic personalities, running big business and corrupt government.

What do we stand to lose is the Great Barrier Reef is destroyed? Watch this video of our beautiful Reef.

This is a 25 million year old phenomena, that the savages are determined to destroy for profit. Some how, there seems to be an effort on the part of the psychopathic personalities to drive this stolen vehicle, called planet earth, headlong down the road to destruction, for a joy ride and just because it does not belong to them. All in the name of globalization. Globalization is a euphemistically claimed as:  a process of interaction and integration among the people, companies, and governments of different nations, a process driven by international trade and investment and aided by information technology

Let’s revisit the last part of this definition.

a process driven by international trade and investment and aided by information technology

Profit over people is a decades old reLIEgion of a godless and savage entity, from Eurasia, that when they conquered other ethnic groups on the planet, the effectively infected more than a few of us with this poisonous venom called globalization or profiteering. A Profiteer is a person who seeks or exacts exorbitant profits, especially through the sale of scarce or rationed goods

Globalization cannot afford the cost of ethics and morality. The haves cannot financially afford to share with the have not. It is not profitable. Efficiency, afford-ability and abundance are enemies of globalization. Since Globalization is all about profiteering off of scarcity, then scarcity drives this machine. My younger brother two nights ago, sent me a petition currently going around, demanding that the recently installed government of Jamaica, cease their decision to move on building a coal fire plant on the Island.

Say NO to Coal JA

On 28 July 2016, the Jamaican Government announced the sale of the old Alpart bauxite plant at Nain in St. Elizabeth to the Chinese company,  Jiuquan Iron & Steel (Group) Company Limited (JISCO), as well as a US$2 billion investment in an industrial zone, powered by a 1000 megawatt (MW) coal-fired plant, creating 3,000 jobs. The project would include bauxite mines, an aluminum refinery, a local electricity network, rolling wire mills and “other enterprises”. Since making that announcement, the Government of Jamaica has not spoken further on the matter, except to say that no final decision has been taken.

This sounds eerily similar to when, over 10 years ago, i became personally involved in a petition against the restarting of bauxite mining in the cockpit country. The cockpit country when investigated by white scientist (because black scientists are too busy pursuing bullshit projects), produced a report indicating that the Cockpit Country area of Jamaica, had flora and animal life that went back to prehistoric periods. This is what the previous government of Portia “dunce bat” Simpson, wanted to violate for profit. Hers and the foreign nationals.  Many Jamaican natives, who have traveled and actually care about the island other than as a place for “sufferers”, have stated that this is one of the most beautiful places they have ever seen. I remember viewing images of dead animals and land area in St Catherines, that were poisoned from previous bauxite mining ecological rapes.

I also remembered the previous Prime Minister saying that…”no final decision has been taken”, on the Cockpit Country issue. Shortly after that, the Japanese swooped in to purchase goat Island to grow cotton and the Chinese swooped in to build a toll highway, that they named the Beijing highway. Incidentally upon leaving office this year, Portia Simpson was said to have accumulated personal wealth of $20 million. Much more than any other Prime Minister in a nation with a GDP of US$5,289.97. More than Barack “the notorious drone bomber” Obomba, accumulated in eight years of fighting imperialist wars across the globe.

A 1000 MW coal-fired plant exceeds Jamaica’s entire current generating capacity which is presently about 850 MW. Coal is a fossil fuel formed under the earth’s surface and is mined just like any other rock or mineral. It’s not the same thing as charcoal, which is produced by slow heating of wood or other vegetation. Coal-fired plants have several negative impacts on public health and the environment. Emissions can cause respiratory illnesses, cardiovascular disease, asthma attacks, brain damage and cancer. They affect the environment by creating acid rain, depleting surface or ground water and contribute to global climate change.

Jamaica’s Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms states that every person has the right to

“… enjoy a healthy and productive environment free from the threat of injury or damage from environmental abuse and degradation of the ecological heritage;”

A coal-fired plant is a direct breach of those rights.

Assuming continuous operation, a modern coal-fired plant emits 762 kilograms of carbon dioxide (CO2) per megawatt-hour of electricity generated. Using this conservative estimate, the proposed plant alone would emit roughly 6.7 million tons of CO2 per year, just over half of our 2025 target under the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, which we signed on Earth Day 2016. Meeting Jamaica’s Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs) to global emissions under this Agreement would become virtually impossible.

This ongoing colonial and globalization of Jamaica, by China is just the latest in numerous pimping of a willing series of bureaucratic whores in places like Jamaica, whose personal financial pursuit always trumps, sovereignty and nationhood.

Profit over people. Check out what China was doing before this latest offer of purchasing a coal burning site. Several years ago China had petitioned the Government of Jamaica for parts or the whole of the 800 acre Roaring River Water Shed area in St. Ann (adjoining Dunns River) as payment on loans which the People of Jamaica of course, had no say in! These lands are sitting on one of Jamaica’s most important Limestone Plateaus and provide water for the Hydro Electric plant at Laughing Waters, Steer Town and Chalky Hill and other areas of St. Ann.

Building on these lands (resort or China Town) and in so doing will upset the entire water system in the Rio Bueno Water Shed Management Unit! This will undoubtedly result in serious environmental problems for St. Ann and Jamaica and seriously disrupt the ability of the Government to provide adequate water supply to thousands of Jamaican citizens!

Now everybody should know that the country of China is perhaps the most polluted country in the world. Especially for one with such a status among super powers. China itself has been polluted because of this very same profit over people mentality, but even more so, because they are scavengers…not a person who searches for and collects discarded items, but an animal that feeds on carrion, dead plant material, or refuse. This is not some hate filled attempt to denigrate Chinese people, but an accurate description of their eating habits and lifestyle choices. The only reason why people don’t see how devastated this country is, is because its a closed society AND its easier to see Japans own immediate devastation of its Island, through Fukashima and the over fishing of its waters. But only because japan is such a smaller surface area.

Over the past several years, China has become the newest colonialist and imperialist in Afrika, the Caribbean and South America. Like hoards of locust they invade these land areas, loaning money to greedy representatives, so they can go in and ravage the land like locusts, as payment for loans extended to corrupt officials. The current pursuit of coal burning plant, parallels western (white people’s) pursuit of fossil fuel, in a time when every intelligent scientific evidence shows that fossil fuel is the least efficient and cleanest energy source available.

We currently have several different methods of harnessing clean, efficient and cheap energy. The main word in the above line is CHEAP! Remember profit over people is the mantra of globalization and the engine of scarcity that drives it. There is the harnessing of Solar, Hydro, wave, tidal and geothermal energy. Solar energy is allowed to be harnessed in just three states on a large scale, could power the whole of amurdikkka. Geothermal energy once harnessed could power the planet for 4000 years. In fact for years now a small town in Scandinavia has been collecting garbage and burning everything in sight, converting the heat into an energy source that powered that town cleanly. There is a a Northern European town that is set to be unveiled as completely run by clean renewable energy. And Saudi Arabia has invested considerable sum in to Solar panels.

What does this abode for the previously preeminent source of fossil fuel on the planet, and the source of so many imperialist wars, counter wars and Corporate instigated terroristic response to foreign invasions?

I once read that placing solar panels in large areas of the Sahara, could power all of Afrika. Instead a majority of amurdikkka’s 800 military bases and the HQ of Africom is situated in Afrika, with most of their artilleries pointed inwards.

There is no reason to burn coal or fossil fuel but because we are held back by profiteering, we are killing the planet and lining the pockets of psychopathic personalities, who hold the people hostage, with willing compliance of their (s)elected government officials. Modern science is supposed to usher in an era, where lifestyles should be less stressful, more comfortable and is supposed to work in symbiosis with nature. Modern science however, seeks to eliminate nature and replace it with “Sky-net”, to further oppress people on a scale that surpasses the “dark ages” and the feudal period.

Technology is supposed to diminish human presence in the workforce, which is actually a dictatorship, where indentured servitude is designed to keep us enthralled and in fear because of the afore mentioned scarcity. If  don’t overstand the concept of the workplace as a dictatorship, consider the next time you clock in at “work”. The work where your sweat equity is taxed illegally for some sick parasites monitory pleasure. The workplace that if you don’t kowtow to the “bosses” dictatorial demands, see if you won’t find yourself turfed out of this “pyramid scheme”. And good luck with that job reference and collecting unemployment insurance.

Globalization is about profit over people. This is why these imperialists go to self governing communities and demonize then destroy them, because they give some of you “tree huggers” too much radical ideas, that you need neither a central government or globalization. A self governing community, living close to nature. Living in symbiosis with nature have no need for profiteering and fiat money. Not in a resource base society where resources are in abundance and scarcity is not used to destroy the environment and people.

If you are the person who disbelieve in a resource based society or feel that clean renewable energy is unsustainable, you need to get the hell out of the way of people who are pursuing these models. you are fucking up the program with your paradigm and ancient destructive bullshit belief. You are among the ignorant, who can’t see the value of these models, because you are stuck…STUCK ! And can not come out of your self imposed box and see future, Our future is not about profiteering or profit over people. Our future is about abundance and the sharing of resources, which would eliminate the need for the kind of greed that currently drives this vehicle called planet earth closer to the brink of catastrophe.
